My name is Ai Nakamura.
My name is Ai Nakamura, founder of KyotoKismets.
My parents’ work in architecture, painting, and ceramics first taught me to appreciate the craftsmanship and cultural meaning behind what people create. As a student, I traveled around the world and saw how deeply people value the traditions and culture unique to their own countries. These experiences taught me to approach every culture with respect.
That respect led me to found KyotoKismets and share high-quality Japanese matcha with businesses around the world. Each year, we export several tonnes of carefully selected matcha. Our range consists exclusively of Organic JAS-certified matcha, including rare grades, chosen with care for the people who enjoy it.
I am deeply grateful to the café owners, retailers, and distributors who serve our matcha and introduce Japanese tea traditions to their communities.
We take time to understand each customer’s menu, customers, and plans before recommending a grade. Our team in Japan works alongside you with export support, quality management, and matcha recipe development.
Whether you are opening your first café or growing an established business, we welcome the chance to understand what you need and help you find a suitable starting point.
We Listen Before We Recommend
Every café, retailer, and distributor serves different customers. We ask about your menu, target price, and intended use before recommending a grade.
From sample selection to repeat-order planning, you can work directly with us.
A Proven Record of International Supply
We export several tonnes of Japanese matcha each year to business customers across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.
Our relationships with tea producers and processing partners in Japan help us plan repeat orders and discuss alternatives early when a lot becomes limited. We share confirmed availability and lead times before you order.
Care Behind Every Grade
Our range includes both blended and single-cultivar matcha.
Selected stone-milled grades undergo at least six months of low-temperature maturation before milling. Cultivar, milling method, and Organic JAS certification status vary by product and lot. We provide product-specific details before you order.
Small-Lot Private Label and Flexible Lead Times
Small-lot private-label options start at 200 units for selected 30 g stock pouch formats. Fully custom packaging has different minimum quantities and lead times.
In-stock products are generally dispatched within 1–2 weeks after payment. Bulk production and custom packaging schedules are confirmed before you order.
